Leasing Information
For residents of Falcon Flats, one of the biggest benefits is that all of the utilities are included in the monthly rent. The official amount of the rent will be outlined in the lease.
Residents of the Flats have a lease which begins Aug. 19 and ends May 31, although they do have the option to choose a 12- month lease if they wish. Residency in the Flats gives the students the flexibility to stay on campus during the summer months or to move out and come back the following semester. Students who choose to stay over the summer are responsible for summer rent (June, July and August). Those who choose to move out in May and return in August are not charged summer rent.
Students must have 29 credit hours or more to be eligible to live in Falcon Flats.
All of the official terms of the lease will be included in an apartment contract, which each resident will be required to sign before he or she moves into the complex.
If a resident moves into an apartment before or after June 1, the students rent will be pro-rated according to the week of residency occurred. All of the official terms of this process will also be outlined in the lease.
