About the Director: Dr. Mark Sanborn
Commitment to the Mission
of Friends University
Traveling each year to Friends University campus sites throughout the state of Kansas provides a unique opportunity to interact with students who are working adults from diverse backgrounds, experiences, cultures, and have varied educational needs. In working with these students, Dr. Sanborn fosters an ethical, non-threatening learning environment that celebrates the contributions of each student, promotes their individual success, and encourages their quest for life-long learning.
Teaching Philosophy
As an educator in the field of Information Technology, Dr. Sanborn
Dr. Sanborn holds an Ed. D. in Instructional Technology and Distance Education, Masters of Business Administration with emphasis in Information Systems Management, and a BS in Computer Information Systems. As an advocate and practitioner of life-long learning, Dr. Sanborn is current working on a Ph. D. in Information Systems at Nova Southeastern University.
He is active member of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) and participates in several Special Interest Groups related to his research topics of interest. He is also a member of Upsilon Pi Epsilon (UPE), the International Honor Society for the Computing and Information Disciplines
