DIXIE F. MADDEN
- Program director and professor of law

Madden has represented business clients in Wichita for 20 years in a wide spectrum of business matters, including entity formation, acquisitions, securities matters, retirement plans, and healthcare transactions. She continues to serve private practice clients on a limited basis in her role as Of Counsel with the Wichita law firm of Adams & Jones, Chartered. She previously served as Dean of Presidents College School of Law, where she also taught classes in corporations and securities laws. She also previously taught in the clinical programs at Washburn University School of Law and Ohio State University College of Law, where she taught substantive classes and litigated matters with student assistants. She also has served as Assistant Attorney General for the State of Ohio in both the Criminal Activities Division and the Chief Counsel's Staff.

After graduating from law school, Professor Hughes served in a series of judicial clerkships with the U.S. Court of Appeals, Tenth Circuit, the Kansas Supreme Court, and the Kansas Court of Appeals. He is currently a partner with the Wichita law firm of Adams & Jones, Chartered, where his practice primarily concerns litigation in the areas of business, real estate, intellectual property, and estates law.

KENNETH H. JACK

Admitted to practice: Kansas, Oklahoma, U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, U.S. Supreme Court Professor Jack has been a member of the firm of Davis & Jack, LLC since his graduation from law school. His private law practice primarily concerns patent, trademark, and copyright causes and matters, and commercial litigation. He is one of the few attorneys in the Wichita region who is admitted to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Background Information

VINCENT A. MIETLICKI

- Currently teaches Contracts; Employment Law; Business and Legal Ethics; and Law and Economics
Professor Mietlicki was previously an Assistant General Counsel for Koch Industries in Wichita, Kan., where he practiced commercial and business law and developed a specialty in regulatory compliance law. He also represented international firms and has first-chair trial experience in defending employment law issues. He currently teaches Business Law, Business Ethics, and Risk Management courses at various universities in Wichita, Kansas.

NANCY OGLE

Professor Ogle began her legal career as a research attorney for the Kansas Supreme Court and also served in two clerkships with the United States District Court, District of Kansas. She combined her legal training with her years of experience as a librarian while working at Koch Industries as a law librarian and research attorney. Professor Ogle currently works as a trial and appellate research attorney, focusing on medical malpractice defense, commercial litigation, and workers compensation.

RICHARD WARRICK
- Adjunct faculty
- Currently teaches Torts and Insurance Law; and Unincorporated Business Associations
Professor Warrick recently served as the Assistant General Counsel of Cessna Aircraft Company, where he was responsible for all products liability litigation on the single-engine aircraft line. He was also responsible for employment law and civil rights litigation, intellectual property issues, and compliance with export laws and regulations. Prior to his practice at Cessna, Professor Warrick served as Vice President and General Counsel of Aviation Office of America and American Eagle Insurance Company, a full-service aviation insurance facility that wrote airline, aircraft hull, products liability, and pilot/aircraft owner liability policies. Professor Warrick also had an extensive trial practice in products liability and tort defense involving the aircraft industry while in private practice. He also served for five years as an Air Force JAG in the Pentagon.

LEE H. WOODARD

Professor Woodard has over forty years of legal experience in litigation. He has been honored numerous times for his outstanding legal achievements, including the Howard Kline Distinguished Service Award, and the PresidentÕs Award and Lifetime Achievement Award from the Wichita Bar Association. He also is a Fellow, American College of Trial Lawyers, and a member of the Kansas Supreme Court Nominating Commission. He is currently the senior member of the Wichita law firm of Woodard, Hernandez, Roth & Day, L.L.C., where his practice focuses on the litigation and mediation of business disputes.
