"The challenges of modern organizations require the objective perspective of the manager as well as the brilliant flashes of vision and commitment that wise leadership provides"
Lee Bolman and Terence Deal
Welcome to the Master of
School Leadership (MSL) program at Friends University. On our Web site you will find information about the program, the faculty, students and other information of interest.
The MSL program began in October of 1995. Since its inception, the program has been rewritten according to the research on the best practices in school leadership.
We continue to revise and change as necessary to meet our goal of keeping up with educational trends and providing relevant content and quality instruction.
To date, 10 cohort groups have completed the program.
The guiding philosophy of the program is The Principal as Leader, which is graphically represented to the left. This framework embodies what a principal should know and be able to do and it is from this framework that courses and program practicum experiences are designed.
We are proud of the many alumni, faculty, and MSL Advisory Board members who help to make this program the success that it is. We hope that this website will be helpful to you and will prompt you to call or visit us for more information.
