Dr. Valentina Chappell
Director, Master of Science in Management
The MSM program curriculum provides broad-based management skills for program graduates. Students study management and organizational theory, decision-making, project management, legal and ethical issues of human resource management in a diverse global environment, corporate social responsibility, and the application of technology to decision-making and communication. Using case studies, small group interactions, student presentations, and research papers, students practice theory application in both profit and non-profit organizations. Technology integration enhances the student efficiency and effectiveness in skill development.

Using the cohort model, classes are small and promote student-student and faculty-student interaction. Characteristically, the MSM program draws students from diverse backgrounds and professional experiences that broadens the educational experience of program graduates and promotes development of professional networking.

Schedule
The MSM program is offered in Wichita, Topeka, Lenexa, and selected outreach sites. Schedules vary among the sites and may include a choice between evening (two-year) and weekend (one-year) programs. Each course is eight weeks (two-year program) or four weeks (one-year program) in length and courses are sequential. Evening classes meet for four hours, one evening each week and weekend classes meet for eight hours each Saturday.
