Students will:

1. Possess knowledge of the diversity of living organisms.
2. Possess knowledge of cellular structures and processes.
3. Possess knowledge of Mendelian, molecular and population genetics.
4. Possess knowledge of ecological processes.
5. Possess knowledge of the sources of variation in populations, the mechanisms of natural selection and the principles of evolution.
6. Possess knowledge of the structure, function and complexity of living organisms.
7. Understand the role of homeostasis in the maintenance of life.
8. Possess knowledge of scientific method and scientific experimentation.
