Are you looking for a way to enrich your life through the study of Bible, devotional life, theology, philosophy and the ministry of all Christians, while still majoring in a vocational field or other major like business, music or education? While we do have a stand-alone major in Religion & Philosophy, the Christian Studies major at Friends University is specifically designed to be a second major for students interested in religion and philosophy, but who have another field of study as their primary major.
A Unique Program
The focus of this second major is the students – enriching their lives through the organized quest to examine religious and philosophical questions from a distinctly Christian perspective. Students who choose this as a second major will be challenged to think deeply about how they learn, what they learn and why they learn, in addition to examining important issues in religion, philosophy and the ministry of all Christians. Students are encouraged to explore their values – personal, ethical, religious and professional – as enriched by the Christian faith.

“I would definitely recommend that they go to a place like Friends University and at least inquire about it. What they would learn is that it’s not as difficult as they think. It can be intimidating … but the rewards, in my opinion, are great.”
