Welcome to the Master of Global Leadership and Management (MGLM) web page!

My name is Dr. Valentina Chappell – I am the program director.

MGLM has a long history at Friends University. The program is based on the Master of Science in Management program with its 23 years of success and was known as the Master of Leadership and Management program.

The MGLM powerful and dynamic advisory board includes decision makers from Intrust Bank, Pulse Inc., Kice Industries, Knolla’s Pizza, Koch Industries, Pioneer Balloon, Cessna, Hawker Beechcraft Corporation, Spirit, Cessna, the Wichita U.S. Export Center and other companies. The board’s valuable recommendations allowed us to align the former MSM with current business requirements: (1) to emphasize the impact of globalization in relevant courses, and (2) to expand studies of business leadership to the world of international business. As a result, the program curriculum was changed, which was reflected in the new program title: Master of Global Leadership and Management.

The MGLM advisory board members come to the classroom as guest speakers. They also share their expertise with the MGLM students and support them in their work at special projects. The board serves as a link between academic and business worlds.
