Global MBA Director's Welcome
Welcome to the Global MBA web page!
We don't believe Global MBA should be one-size-fits-all. Our students are required to take the core courses, but you have the flexibility to customize your curriculum by taking electives from many areas in the business division of the Graduate School.
Our high-impact curriculum, faculty with real-world experience, and team-based learning provide aspiring business professionals with a dynamic and rewarding learning experience.
The powerful and dynamic Global MBA advisory board includes decision makers from INTRUST Bank, Kansas Global Services, Kice Industries, Koch Industries, Pioneer Balloon, Cessna, Hawker Beechcraft Corp., Spirit, Cessna, the Wichita U.S. Export Center and other companies. The board’s valuable recommendations allowed us to align the Global MBA curriculum with current business requirements:
- to emphasize the impact of globalization on local businesses
- to teach major competencies in leadership, ethics and complex business skills required for gaining sustainable competitive advantage in a global business environment
- to apply learned skills when in business residency abroad
The Global MBA advisory board members come to the classroom as guest speakers. They also share their business expertise with students to prepare them for the business residency abroad and advise them in their work on special projects. The board serves as a link between the academic and business worlds and helps students establish business contacts and global fluency.
The Global Business Experience course is a highlight of Global MBA. It is a one-credit-hour course. This faculty-mentored, credit-bearing, real-world experience brings to life academic concepts of international business and culture. Please check the blog for students’ entries and pictures from Chile and China at friends.edu/global-mba-blog.
Develop your own interests and expertise. This is about your career and your life. We are here to help you.
