Global MBA: Management Information Systems Concentration

Best SitesWe are excited to announce a new concentration in Management Information Systems as part of the Professional MBA and the Global MBA. The concentration brings like-minded students together through a series of four courses to gain the expertise to manage the personnel, systems and information that comprise today’s business environments.

The advantages of an interdisciplinary program are blending core MBA or Global MBA knowledge with information systems to obtain wide-ranging understanding of organizational issues, the challenges of information systems in complex organizations, and growth in the specialization needed to manage environments that require fundamental understanding of the knowledge and skills required for business and information systems functions. Through this program, you will develop the how, when and why of where technology and business intersect.

This concentration is designed for those seeking leadership positions in information technology, including chief information officer, chief technology officer, senior project manager and information security manager in national or global businesses.

The Professional MBA and Global MBA programs with the information system concentration includes a prior learning assessment that could potentially reduce the program by at least two courses. This enables a well-qualified student to complete the program in as few as three or four intense semesters with as few as 30 credit hours.

Need more learning than four information systems courses can provide? Additional courses can be added to the program or perhaps the Master of Management Information Systems (MMIS) is a better fit for your professional career. The MMIS program provides in-depth and detailed study of information systems including research into current technological innovations, emerging technologies and future directions of the information age. Similarly, the future Master of Science in Information Security (MSIS) program will provide students with focused study in information security-related topics. We offer adult-focused master's degrees in Wichita, Topeka, the greater Kansas City area and online.  Not all courses and programs are available in all locations or in both online and on-campus formats.  Please check with your Admissions Counselor for more details.
