Health Sciences

The Health Sciences major is centered on a strong core of biology and chemistry courses.  The Health Sciences degree was designed around the requirements of many health-related graduate programs, as well as to serve as a pre-med degree.  Required courses include cellular and molecular biology, microbiology, human anatomy and physiology, genetics, and organic and general chemistry, as well as statistics and calculus.  Students pursuing their Bachelor of Science degree in Health Sciences have the option of choosing additional coursework in cell biology or human anatomy and physiology.

Many students in our Health Sciences program pursue graduate programs or professional schools such as:

  • Pharmacy school
  • Physical therapy school
  • Physician assistant school
  • Dental school
