MSOD Director's Welcome

Friends University's MSOD program is about transforming individuals so they can transform their organizations. Just like the field of OD, our program focuses on working with the human element within organizations facing rapid change.

The MSOD program is designed to build the competencies and skills required to become a successful OD practitioner, applying the concepts and tools to a wide range of organizational roles and professional settings.  Our program focuses on relational skills, use of self, action research, managing strategic change, understanding organizational culture and having a systems perspective.

The MSOD program utilizes a cohort model with a focus on collaborative, experiential learning. Students come from a wide range of professional backgrounds and diverse organizational settings.  While in the program, students have the opportunity to apply the skills and knowledge they are gaining. Near the end of the program, students travel as a cohort on an international short term study abroad where they will serve in teams of OD consultants and work with and learn from, an international organization. The program's capstone experience is the Applied OD Practicum Project where students work independently and conduct action research through an OD intervention in an organizational setting.

Our MSOD program starts one group each fall.  If making a difference is one of your goals, we invite you to apply today!

Please request information or contact the Admissions Office at 316-295-5300 or learn@friends.edu if you would like to learn more about Friends University's Master of Science in Organization Development program.
