Welcome! Academics at Friends University encompass an exciting gamut of degrees, programs, majors and activities. These range from signature programs in ballet and zoo science; to nationally recognized programs in music and the visual arts; to outstanding professional programs in education, business and social services.

Our marriage and family therapy program, for example, is one of the largest nationally accredited programs of its kind in the country. Our education graduates are in high demand within the region, and many have come to occupy senior leadership positions. Our MBA program continues to be our most rapidly growing graduate program, taking its place alongside unique master’s degrees in areas such as health care leadership and business law. Our bachelor’s programs for working adults continue to occupy an important niche in the University and in the region with their emphasis on accessibility and quality coupled with service. The Center on Family Living and the Garvey Institute of Law provide a unique set of services to our local community.

But education is about people. At the heart of each program, major and activity are faculty and academic administrators who embody the passion and excitement of their respective fields. It is their commitment and their expertise that make each of these activities come alive. Even more importantly, the students and the graduates of these programs represent the reason that we exist as a university. We are inordinately proud of them and the many and varied contributions they are making in our world.
