The Alumni Office strongly relies on the input, feedback and ideas of its members to provide quality programming to alumni and their families. Advisory boards in Wichita, Topeka and Kansas City are comprised of alumni volunteers who act as a voice for all alumni. The mission statement of the Alumni Association is to assist and advance the interests of Friends University and promote a spirit of loyalty among its members.

Ex-officio members also assist in the advisory boards' roles.

Duties of the three advisory boards include the following:

• Actively assisting the Alumni Office with events designed to bring alumni and their families back to each of the sites
• Working toward a collective goal of raising awareness of the Alumni Association to current and newly graduated students

Members serve a three-year term, and officers are elected on a yearly basis.
