Craig first heard about Friends University when he was a high school student in Maize, Kansas, a suburb of Wichita where the main campus is located. “I attended several vocal music master classes and was awarded a music scholarship.”

However, it was later in life that Craig would return to Friends to earn his bachelor’s degree in criminal justice in one of the first CJP programs.

Craig is employed with Jorban-Riscoe Associates as their chief technology officer, as well as working part-time with FedEx Express.

He and his wife, Debbie, and their two children, Trevor and Amelia, live in Raymore, Missouri. In his spare time he enjoys singing with the Kansas City Symphony Chorus and the Kansas State University Alumni Choir, along with operating a Bison ranch near Chapman, Kansas with his father.

Barb graduated from Friends University in 1984. Her first introduction to Friends University was in grade school. She grew up in the Rose Hill Friends Church and attended yearly meetings at Friends University. Her sister attended Friends University and her father worked in the Admissions Office. Barb knew she would
attend Friends University. Barb played volleyball for 2 years and was in the Singing Quaker Choir. Bill Allan was one of her favorite professors. Barb lives in Lees Summit Missouri with her husband Jerry Brown, G’82. Together they have three children:
Luke, 25, Rachel21, and Jesse 19.

Barb enjoys repurposing furniture, dumpster diving, décor designing, painting
 and watching BBC movies.

Barb is glad to be a part of the Alumni Advisory Board. It gives her great opportunity to reconnect with alumni.

Sheryl G’92 from the first HRM class offered in Garden City, KS.  This was an awesome opportunity for me to complete a bachelor’s degree while working full-time, being a wife and mom. Sheryl attended the HRM class with over 20 other adults. She graduated with honors and was recognized as a class leader.  Sheryl “walked” on graduation day in Wichita, and felt a great sense of pride and accomplishment. 

Sheryl’s hobbies include but are not limited to theatre, music, movies, travel, bridge, reading, scuba diving, exercise, Harleys, concerts, bible study, art, decorating, golf, bicycling and spectator sports. She is an active person with lots of energy and a positive attitude, living life to the fullest!

She is proud to be an Alumnae of Friends University, and looks forward to giving back as a member of the Kansas City Alumni Advisory Board.

Jayneen graduated from Friends University with a Master's of Science in Quality Systems Management in 2000. She currently resides in Kansas City, Missouri.

Jayneen is a single mom and enjoys walking, skating, reading and cooking.

"One of the things that I remember the most (about Friends) is my classmates and how well we were able to get along and work together," Jayneen said. "Also the instructor was VERY helpful, patient and understanding. I would recommend Friends University to anyone who wants to continue their education, whether it be undergrad or graduate-level studies."

Jayneen also serves as the class agent for the MSQSM class newsletter.

Dawn graduated from the Friends University Wichita campus in 1983 when she received her bachelor’s degree in psychology/human services. Some of her favorite experiences as a student included being a part of the Singing Quakers student choir, living on campus and being an overall integral part of the campus community.

Dawn now lives in Overland Park, Kansas with her husband, Scott, and their two children, Keagan and Daegan, and is the director of associate relations at Helzberg Diamonds. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, being involved with her church choir and worship team, and is an amateur photographer.

As a member of the Kansas City Alumni Advisory Board, Dawn said, “I’d like to take away specific memories of activities or events that I was involved with that truly had a positive impact on the future and reputation of Friends University in the Kansas City area.”

As a 1963 graduate of the Friends University Wichita campus, some of Errol's fondest college memories include running cross-country (a new athletic program which had begun in 1959), being captain of the 1963 track team (coached by Bob Moore) and attending classes taught by Dr. Phil Nagley and Dr. Roy Ray.

A retired high school teacher and coach, Errol enjoys spending time with his wife, Claudia, and bowling. They have two sons, Andrew and Matthew.

As a member of the Kansas City Alumni Advisory Board, Errol looks forward to reconnecting with Friends University at the Kansas City-Lenexa education center.
