The Friends University community welcomed Dr. T.J. Arant as the 13th president of the University as he took office July 1, 2011. Dr. Arant and wife Susan came to Wichita from North Carolina, where he has served as the executive vice president of Mount Olive College since 2008. His unanimous selection by the Friends University Board of Trustees brought the six-month nationwide search for the University’s next president to a close. With 30 years of experience in higher education, Dr. Arant looks forward to building on the excellent programs and strengths Friends University already offers its students.
