Beginning in mid-November, Friends University students will be able to check out books from Edmund Stanley Library donated by Robert Tusler, a 1946 graduate, now living in the Netherlands.
In January 2010, Vice President of Academic Affairs Dr. John Yoder received a letter from Tusler, now 90 years old, inquiring if the library would accept books from his private collection of more than 5,000 books and musical scores. In his letter, Tusler stated:
Nine students from LaSalle University in Cancun will be visiting Wichita from Jan. 5 to Feb. 3, 2011, as part of a Sister Cities Exchange. The students are from Friends University's sister university in Cancun and are coming to the University to intensively study English as a second language. They will also have an opportunity to sit in on regular university classes related to their field of study. Dr.
Corey Wynn, senior Graphic Design major and Marketing minor, had his design selected to be the new Wichita Dental Group logo.
Dr. John Lewis, owner of Wichita Dental Group and Friends University Board of Trustees member, had approached Karen Scroggins, assistant professor of graphic arts, about having her students submit new logo designs for his practice.
