Friends University Adds 3 Undergraduate Programs

Keeping pace with a changing global employment environment and local employer needs, Friends University has added three new programs to its undergraduate majors: finance, forensic science and international business.

The finance program, which encompasses both global and domestic finance, will prepare students for a variety of fields, including investment, banking and financial management. Students will learn through case studies, trips to financial centers and simulations.

Friends University to Host First-Ever National Football Playoff Game on Campus

Friends University will be hosting its first-ever national football playoff game this Saturday, Nov. 17.



Falcon Football won last Saturday’s game against the University of St. Mary 35-6, earning the 2007 KCAC Championship and the team’s way into the first-round of the NAIA Championship. The Falcons finished the season with a conference record of 8-1 and an overall record of 9-1. Athletic Director Joe Zimmerman received word Sunday, Nov. 16, that the University’s bid to host the NAIA first-round game had been accepted.

Lecture Explores Eastern Orthodox Worship

Warren Farha of Eighth Day Books will present a lecture on Eastern Orthodox Worship at Friends University from 6 to 8 p.m. March 27 in room 304 of the Davis Administration Building. The lecture is free and open to the public.
