You can be the judge at Friends University's 2014 Constitution Day program at 7 p.m. Sept. 17 in the Davis Administration Building's Alumni Auditorium. This event is free and open to the public and is sponsored by the Friends University Garvey Institute of Law and the Kansas Humanities Council.
Judge G. Joseph Pierron Jr., who has been a judge on the Kansas Court of Appeals since 1990, will lead the audience in the re-enactment of actual U.S. Supreme Court cases. Participants will be able to live the law while playing litigants, lawyers and judges. No preparation is necessary for the program, and there will be a reception immediately following the presentation.
