Increasing overall communication to adult students through various mediums that are most effective to them. By using a more personal touch, we use email, direct mailings and signs on campus to create a heightened awareness of services and programs available to adult students.

Advocacy and Support
The staff will serve as a voice for adult students and help advocate changes that may be needed to improve their overall experience and increase the likelihood of them persisting to their ultimate goal of a college education or additional degree that will help further them personally or professionally.

Serving as the advocate for adult students, the staff assesses adult student needs both individually and collectively and provides students with referrals, connections and guidance. In addition, we work collaboratively with the Division of Academic Affairs to meet the needs of our adult student population. This is accomplished through obtaining feedback provided by individual student interaction, gathering research from standardized surveys, and studying best practices in higher education from across the nation.

If you have any physical or learning limitations or other special need, please refer to our Disability Student Services page.

Do you have a suggestion or an idea that would make life as an adult Friends student better? Are you having a problem and don't know what to do? Do you just want to share your opinion? Then tell us about it! Contact us at oasis@friends.edu.
