Ladies and Gentlemen, beware! Pirates! Where? Not those of the Caribbean, nor even of Somalia, nor the brazen buccaneers of Borneo. Those peerlessly predacious PIRATES OF PENZANCE immortalized in the unfailingly flawless lyrics of W. S. Gilbert and blissfully unblemished tunes of Arthur Sullivan.

Who wouldn’t want a six-foot white rabbit for a best friend? Mr. Dowd’s family wouldn’t, that’s who! It’s awkward and embarrassing to even speak of such things. Mr. Dowd would be better off taking his fanciful imaginings to a mental hospital. However, that might only complicate things when others meet Mr. Dowd and his friend. For decades this hilarious and insightful Pulitzer Prize play, by Mary Chase, has been an audience delight.
