Many of us take for granted the security offered by the U.S. Constitution, but we might never stop to think about the document’s relevance in our daily lives.
As a part of Friends University’s celebration of Constitution Day, four panelists will discuss “Why the Constitution Matters” from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Sept. 16 in the Davis Administration Building’s Alumni Auditorium.
Panelists will be Laura Y. Dungan, training director for the National Training and Information Center; Reuben D. Eckels, pastor of the New Day Christian Church; Bach Hang, an attorney with Joseph & Hollander, P.A.; and D.R. Leach, manager of talent development for Koch Industries. The discussion will be moderated by Friends University faculty: Dr. Gretchen Eick, professor of history; Dr. Russell Fox, associate professor of political science; and Dr. Dixie Madden, professor of law and director of the Garvey Institute of Law.
The event is free and open to the public. A reception sponsored by the Garvey Institute of Law will immediately follow the panel discussion.
