The Friends University Theatre Department will present “Noises Off,” Michael Frayn’s comic tour-de-force tale of the mishaps, mayhem and misadventures of a traveling British theater troupe as it prepares a production with a stellar cast for a regional tour.
Performances will be at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 29 to Nov. 1 in Alumni Auditorium. Tickets are $8 for adults, and $5 for students and seniors.
Heralded as the perfect combination of wit and satire, action and pantomime, sight gags and physical comedy, this rag-tag group attempts to present a new Broadway-bound work while everything about them appears to unravel at the seams.
“Noises Off” is directed and designed by faculty member Kurt Priebe, assistant professor of drama and media studies, and features a cast of nine actors: Jenny Hunt as Dotty/Mrs. Clackett, Cameron White as Lloyd, Roman Rodriguez as Garry/Roger, Rebekah Priebe as Brooke/Vicki, Zach Bailor as Frederick/Philip, Jenna Wilson as Belinda/Flavia, Callan Bideau as Poppy, Andrew Denton as Tim, and Jordan Friesen as Selsdon/Burglar.
