Dr. Evelyn Hume has been hired as dean of the Graduate School on the Wichita campus.
Dr. Hume is originally from Tennessee and relocated to Kansas from Virginia, where she was previously dean of the business school at Longwood University in Farmville. She has a Ph.D. in accounting from Louisiana State University, and a master’s in information systems and a bachelor’s in accounting from the University of West Florida.
Dr. Hume has published more than 30 articles and books about taxation, accounting ethics and student ethics. One of her most recent articles was published in the Journal of College Teaching and Learning titled “The Global Significance of Locus of Control in Ethical Decision Making: A Multiple-Country Examination of University Students.”
Dr. Hume provides leadership and support to the students, directors, faculty and staff of the Graduate School and its 12 master’s programs.
