The Friends University Drama and Music Theatre departments will present “Le docteur Miracle” at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 13-14 in Sebits Auditorium in the Riney Fine Arts Center. This light-hearted, comic operetta by French composer Georges Bizet touches on relationships and likens their simplicity to making omelets.

Daniel Racer, instructor of music, will conduct the chamber orchestra. Dr. Charles Parker, associate professor of drama, serves as the stage director. Dr. David Weber, professor of voice, serves as the vocal coordinator for the opera.

“Dr. Miracle is an absolute joy to perform,” Dr. Weber said. “The music is fun, lighthearted and at the same time vocally challenging for all the singers.”

Tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for seniors and students.
