The annual Tree Lighting Ceremony programmed by the Friends University Falcon Activities and Campus Events (FACE) Special Events Committee will take place at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 2. Refreshments will be provided.
The event will commence with a welcome by Angela Loganbill, president of FACE, on the second floor of the Davis Administration Building. The Singing Quakers will lead the crowd in “O Christmas Tree,” “Silent Night” and “O Holy Night” during the evening. “A Christmas Story” will be read by Dr. Charles Parker, associate professor of drama, and a skit will be performed by Acts of Faith. The winners of tree decorating and office decorating contests will also be announced.
The evening will end with the singing of “Joy to the World” led by the Singing Quakers and the lighting of the Christmas tree on Rose Window Plaza.

“I would definitely recommend that they go to a place like Friends University and at least inquire about it. What they would learn is that it’s not as difficult as they think. It can be intimidating … but the rewards, in my opinion, are great.”
