Alumni, staff, faculty and students at any of the Friends University locations are welcome to participate in the fun of the annual Easter egg hunts in March and April.
The Kansas City location will host its fifth Easter Egg Hunt March 27. The hunt begins at 10 a.m. with line-up at 9:45 a.m. at the Lenexa Education Center. Approximately 75 are expected to attend in the hunt for 100 eggs this year.
The Topeka location will host its hunt for 200 eggs at 1:30 p.m. (with line-up at 1:15 p.m.) March 27. Approximately 125 people are expected to participate in the 11th annual Easter Egg Hunt.
For its 27th year, Friends University’s Wichita location will hide around 1,000 eggs for its Easter Egg Hunt April 3. Line-up will start at 12:45 p.m. with the hunt beginning at 1 p.m. Approximately 500 are expected to attend.
“Easter is always a fun time at Friends University as we have the pleasure of not only welcoming our alumni back to our Wichita, Topeka and Kansas City locations, but also the opportunity to make a connection with their children and give them an early introduction to Friends University,” said Lisa Tilma, executive director of Alumni and Annual Fund. “This is especially true in Wichita where the event is now in its 27th year. It is not uncommon for us to hear from current college students that their first memory of Friends was the Easter Egg Hunt with their parents. The best part of the Easter egg hunts is that they are free for our alumni, staff, faculty and students to attend. It’s our way of saying thank you for your continued support of Friends – now come have some fun with us!”
