University Gears Up for Graduation Ceremonies

Celebrating its students’ well-deserved achievements, Friends University will offer two commencement ceremonies, including one in Wichita and one in Topeka. This will be the 114th annual commencement exercises for Friends University.

The Topeka graduation ceremony will be May 4, 2014 at 2 p.m. at the Topeka Performing Arts Center. Undergraduate and graduate hooding ceremonies will take place.

Commencement exercises will take place in INTRUST Bank Arena for Friends University’s Wichita campus May 10, 2014 at 2 p.m. Undergraduate and graduate hooding ceremonies will take place. Additionally, graduates and their family members can enjoy refreshments and conversation at a campus celebration from 10:30 a.m. to noon.

Live Stream and Tweeting
For those who are not able to attend the commencement ceremony in Wichita but would still like to watch a loved one receive his or her diploma, the University will be streaming the event live on its website. Click here to view the live stream.

In addition, friends and family can tweet messages of congratulations to their graduates that will be shown on the large screen at the Wichita event. Live tweeting will occur 30 minutes before the ceremony and while graduates are crossing the stage. To participate, sign into Twitter and use this hashtag: #FriendsUGrads.
