Alpha Chi Members Aid Literacy Efforts
Sponsoring with Reading Is Fundamental (RIF), a national nonprofit organization, the Friends University chapter of Alpha Chi helped collect almost 3,000 children’s books in Little Rock, Ark., with other nationwide chapters. To inspire the love of reading, Alpha Chi adopted literacy as a convention service project for the second consecutive year and partnered with RIF to assist with distributing free books. The books were distributed at Arkansas Children’s Hospital and placed in waiting rooms of local pediatricians as gifts. For more information about this organization, visit
