As part of its Constitution Day program, Friends University’s Garvey Institute of Law will present “The Constitution and the 2010 Election” from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 15, in Alumni Auditorium in the Davis Administration Building. Major and minor party candidates running for office in the U.S. Senate and the U.S. House (District 4) and for the Kansas governor’s race have been invited to discuss how their campaigns and platforms fit into our constitutional system. Constitution Day committee members include Dr. Gretchen Eick, professor of history; Dr. Russell Fox, associate professor of political science and event moderator; Dr. Dixie Madden, professor of law; and Dr. Guang Xu, professor of history. A reception will follow.
