Neil Simon’s “God’s Favorite” to Make Appearance

The Friends University Theatre Department will present “God’s Favorite” at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 30 to Oct. 3 in Alumni Auditorium in the Davis Administration Building.

As a result of a heavenly wager, Joe Benjamin, a God-fearing and successful tycoon, and his dysfunctional family are put to the test. Visited by an eccentric and mission-bound messenger, he is forewarned of all manner of trials and temptations to come.

Originally produced on Broadway and loosely based on the book of Job, this comic, modern morality tale is told with typical wit and humor as only Neil Simon can. (Produced by special permission with Samuel French Inc.)

Tickets are $8 for adults, and $5 for students and seniors.
