Due to today’s technology, conversing face-to-face about stimulating topics has been replaced with text messaging and online profiles. Friends University is pleased to revive the most historical form of exchange by assembling people from diverse backgrounds and experiences at Great Conversation! from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, March 8, 2011, at the Wichita Scottish Rite. To prepare for this conversation, organizers are asking for topic ideas for Wichita leaders to discuss and explore.

“Our feedback from our first Great Conversation! was very positive,” said event organizer Nancy Hinten. “Offering topics that range from the philosophical to the more light-hearted and fun ensures that there is something for everyone.”

People can submit topics and suggested moderators through 5 p.m. Oct. 8, 2010. Topic categories include:

Arts & Humanities
Business & Community
Education
Leisure & Lifestyles
Politics & History
Science & Technology
Social & Behavioral Issues
