Community Orchestra to Present 'Beethoven’s Heroic Voice' Concert Nov. 5

The Friends University Community Orchestra, directed by Dr. Wes DeSpain, will perform a concert at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 5 in Sebits Auditorium in the Riney Fine Arts Center.

The orchestra is comprised of Friends University students as well as members of the community, and they will open their 52nd season with a concert titled, “Beethoven’s Heroic Voice.” The program will salute one of the titans of classical music, Ludwig von Beethoven, and feature two works by him: the Egmont Overture and Symphony No. 3 "Eroica."

Ticket prices are $10 for adults, and $8 for senior citizens and students. They can be purchased at the door or by calling 316-295-5677.
