The Friends University Falcons will host the Oklahoma City University Stars in the 2010 National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Volleyball National Championship Opening Round at 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 20, in the Garvey Physical Education Center gymnasium.
The Falcons are Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference (KCAC) regular-season champions and KCAC Tournament Champions. They have a record of 32-8 overall and 18-0 in conference play. In addition, several players possess current national rankings for hitting percentage, total blocks, blocks per game, total assists and more.
The winner of this National Championship Opening Round match will advance to the Tyson Events Center/Gateway Arena in Sioux City, Iowa, location of the NAIA National Championship presented by Siouxland Sports Medicine Foundation Nov. 30-Dec. 4.
