Jazz Department Hosts Green Chemistry Night
The Friends University Jazz Department will host “Green Chemistry at Friends University” on Nov. 21.
The evening will start with a lecture by the noted Boston, Mass., Green Chemistry expert, Dr. John Warner at 6 p.m. in the Riney Fine Arts Center’s room C-6. Following the lecture, the Friends University Student Government Association will host a short “green reception” in the Riney Fine Arts Center’s Art Gallery. The lecture and reception are free and open to the public.
At 7:30 p.m., the Friends University Jazz Ensemble I will join guest artists John D’Earth, Jeff Decker and Nathan Hittle as they present Kansas’ premiere of “Green Chemistry Suite” composed by John D’Earth.
