Ballet Presents ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’
Friends University’s spring ballet, “A Midsummer Night’s Dream,” will be performed at 7:30 p.m. March 2 and 3, and at 2 p.m. March 4.
This lavish ballet is based on the classic comedy by William Shakespeare with music by Felix Mendelssohn. The ballet is a new premiere production by the Friends University Ballet directed and choreographed by Stan K. Rogers. This production will be completed with new scenery by designer AJ Kellison and new costumes by Debbie Roberts. This comic love plot is wrought by fairies and magic. The fairies maneuver the events in a human love story while they are also engaged in difficulties of their own.
