“The aim and final end of music should be none other than the glory of God and the refreshment of the soul,” J.S. Bach said.

Join the Friends University Concert Choir for their spring musical offering: “The Heart and Soul of Music.” Exploring the many emotions of mankind, the choir’s selections will include music from Mozart, Rachmaninoff and Wilberg, and spirituals by Johnson and Hampton, all of which give expression to the outpouring of the heart in the form of music, bringing refreshment to the soul.

The concert will honor the memory of Dr. David Weber, director of the Concert Choir for 27 years and a member of the Fine Arts Division for 39 years. We will also celebrate the approaching inauguration of the University’s new president, Dr. T.J. Arant.

The concert will be held in Sebits Auditorium on Tuesday, March 27, at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $15 for adults and $12 for students and seniors.
