UPDATE: July 2, 2012 – As of July 2, Rockcleft is open for business and non-residents are now allowed back in the area.
As of Wednesday, June 27, the wildfires in the Colorado Springs area are approximately one mile from Friends University's Rockcleft Camp. While the camp is still intact, the area has been evacuated and is closed until further notice.
The 120-acre camp was donated to Friends University in 1976 and is used for school and church retreats, camps, and family or group gatherings. Learn more about Rockcleft at friends.edu/rockcleft.
