Getting tickets to Friends University’s fine arts and athletic events is easier than ever with the online ticketing system that is now in place at friends.edu.
The system has been in place since August, and it’s working well for both the University and its customers, said Mackenzie Harting, fine arts event coordinator.
“The response has been very good. Customers want the option to purchase tickets when it is convenient for them, not just when the box office is open,” Harting said.
Harting said customers will still be able to order tickets by phone during normal business hours, but online sales are available 24/7.
“We want to offer our customers the convenience to purchase tickets at any time. They can print their ticket at home or have a ticket sent to their phone to be scanned at the door,” she said. “Online customers can even select a seat in real-time.”
Customers for Falcon athletic events will have to pick up their tickets at the will-call window, said Nicole Peschel, administrative assistant to the athletic director.
“Online ordering allows customers to order tickets in advance without having to wait in line when they arrive at the game. They will be able to walk up to the will call window, get their envelope with their tickets and head into the contest,” she said.
Peschel also cautions that “Tickets will be available at will-call under the name of the person ordering the tickets. Photo ID will be required to pick up tickets. If tickets are purchased after noon on the day before the contest, will-call may not have record of your payment; and you should bring copy of your receipt with you as proof of purchase.”
