Famous Composer to Lead Friends University Concert Band

Sean O’Loughlin, renowned wind band composer, will conduct several of his works with the Concert Band on Mon., Nov. 5 at 7:30 p.m. in the Riney Fine Arts Center’s Sebits Auditorium. O’Loughlin will be joining the Friends University Concert Band as the 2012 Composer/Conductor-in-Residence. 

O’Loughlin has been commissioned by the Boston Pops Orchestra, the Los Angelas Philharmonic and the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra. He also has collaborated with Sarah McLachlan, Adele, Hall and Oates, and Harry Connick Jr.

Tickets for this concert are $6 for adults and $4 for seniors and students and can be purchased online or by calling the Fine Arts Box Office at 316-295-5677.
