Count Basie and New York Voices to Participate in 20th Annual Jazz Festival Celebration
Area high school, middle school and junior college jazz bands will come to Friends University to celebrate the 20th annual Jazz Festival from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Feb. 15-16 in the Riney Fine Arts Center.
A Jazz Vocal Invitational Concert at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 15 will feature several college-level jazz choirs from the Wichita area. This concert will be in the Riney Fine Arts Center’s Sebits Auditorium.
The festival will culminate with a headline performance by the internationally recognized Count Basie Orchestra and New York Voices at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 16 at the Orpheum Theatre, 200 N. Broadway, in Wichita.

Daytime events on Feb. 15 are free and open to the public. Ticket prices for the invitational concert are $9 for adults, and $6 for seniors and students. These tickets can be purchased online or by calling the Fine Arts Box Office at 316-295-5677.
