Friends University to Celebrate 25 Years of Ballet
This spring Friends University will celebrate 25 years of ballet with our Spring Ballet performances at 7:30 p.m. March 1-2 and 2 p.m. March 3 in the Riney Fine Arts Center’s Sebits Auditorium.
Dominic Walsh, from Dominic Walsh Dance Center in Houston, has choreographed a new piece for our dancers. Walsh and Stan K. Rogers co-choreographed a new staging of Brahms’ Variations on a Theme as well. St. Louis based choreographer, Nick Blaylock, has staged a new work for Friends dancers that was premiered at the 2012 American College Dance Festival to great acclaim. Also included will be an audience favorite, Serenade for Strings, with music by Tchaikovsky and choreographed by Stan K. Rogers.
Tickets for the Spring Ballet are $16 for adults, and $13 for seniors and students. Tickets can be purchased online or by calling the Box Office at 316-295-5677.
