Friends University plans to test its Emergency Notification System (ENS) – also known as Falcon Alert – for the spring storm season at noon Monday, April 15. If the weather is threatening that day, the University will postpone the test until the following Monday. The test will take place in all University locations.
Falcon Alert messages are sent during campus emergencies, including campus closings due to weather. A text message is sent to all mobile phones in the ENS system, and an email message is sent to Friends University email accounts only. Faculty, staff and students will receive mobile texts, provided the University has an up-to-date mobile phone number. Parents, concert-goers, sports fans and other interested parties may also sign up to receive the campus alerts.
