The Hon. G. Joseph Pierron Jr. will be the featured presenter at Friends University’s Constitution Day program Sept. 23, 2013. The interactive lecture will begin at 7 p.m. in Alumni Auditorium, Davis Administration Building.
The presentation, titled “You Be the Judge,” will be led by Judge Pierron, with the audience playing the litigants, lawyers and judges in a re-creation of actual United States Supreme Court cases. Audience members do not need to prepare for the program.
Dr. Dixie Madden, director of Friends University’s Garvey Institute of Law, will introduce Judge Pierron. A question-and-answer session will follow the lecture. Audience members are invited to join Judge Pierron for a reception after the event on the second floor of the Davis Administration Building.
Judge Pierron has been a judge on the Kansas Court of Appeals since 1990.
The Constitution Day lecture is free and open to the public and is made possible by the Kansas Humanities Council (KHC) and Friends University’s Garvey Institute of Law.
