Audiences will be hard pressed to keep their toes from tapping during the Friends University Community Orchestra’s performance of “Let’s Dance” at 7:30 p.m. on February 4 in the Riney Fine Arts Center’s Sebits Auditorium.

The orchestra, directed by Dr. Wesley DeSpain, will begin with the overture to Offenbach's “Orpheus in the Underworld,” which ends with the famous “Can Can,” followed by three dances from Smetena's “The Bartered Bride.” After intermission, the orchestra will “dance together” (in a musical sense) with two winning soloists from area concerto competitions.

Tickets are $11 for adults and $9 for seniors and students. They may be purchased online or by calling the Fine Arts Box Office at 316-295-5677.
