Friends theatre to present former Broadway production

The Friends University Theatre department will perform “The Chalk Garden” by Enid Bagnold at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 26-28 in the Riney Fine Arts Center’s Cornerstone Studio Theatre. 

“The Chalk Garden” was first performed on Broadway in 1955. The story setting is based on Bagnold’s own garden from her home near Brighton. The play tells the story of a disturbed child while under the care of her governess. 

“The Chalk Garden” is a Random House Play. 

Tickets are $11 for adults, and $9 for seniors and students. They may be purchased online or by calling the Fine Arts Box Office at 316-295-5677.
