Friends Ballet to feature famous ‘Great Plains’

Friends University’s annual spring ballet performance will premiere two new ballet pieces alongside “The Great Plains” at 7:30 p.m. March 7-8, and 2 p.m. March 9 in the Riney Fine Arts Center’s Sebits Auditorium. 

Illinois guest artist Nick Blaylock will return to help director Stan K. Rogers choreograph. “The Great Plains” takes a look at the circle of life during the beginning days of Kansas. The costumes and scenery are designed by Charla Sanderson. 

Tickets are $16 for adults, and $13 for seniors and students. They may be purchased online at, or by calling the Fine Arts Box Office at 316-295-5677.
