Ensembles’ performance to swing from baroque to ‘boom whackers’

The Friends University Percussion and Guitar Ensembles will perform at 7:30 p.m. April 14 in the Riney Fine Arts Center’s Sebits Auditorium. 

The Guitar Ensemble will be playing duo, trio and quintet pieces from the baroque era to the present day. Some of the Percussion Ensemble’s repertoire will include a drum line feature named for the Friends University mascot Freddy Falcon, a drum line with “boom whackers,” and a standard repertoire piece written in 1940.
