New Student Orientation

New Student Orientation (NSO) is designed to assist first-year and transfer students to make the best possible start to their experience at Friends University.

NSO promotes your academic achievement and personal development by preparing you for the challenges and experiences that lie ahead. Through workshops, small group meetings, technology sessions, presentations, and discussion sessions, you will be introduced to resources and community life standards of the University.

All NEW students to Friends University must to attend NSO on Aug. 19-20. Check-in will begin at 1 p.m Aug. 19 on the second floor of the Davis Administration Building. The program times are 2 p.m. to midnight Aug. 19, and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Aug. 20. NSO is part of First Year Experience and attendance will be counted as part of that course.

For more information about NSO or other transition programs and events, please contact Amy Dible, Director of Campus and Career Transitions, at (316) 295-5623 or dible@friends.edu.
