Presidential Search

The Friends University Board of Trustees is pleased to announce that it has unanimously selected Dr. T.J. Arant to become the 13th president of Friends University.

Dr. Biff Green, 12th president of Friends University, announced in April 2010 his intention to retire June 30, 2011, culminating 20 years of exceptional service to the University.  The Board of Trustees launched a national search appointing a search committee consisting of trustees, faculty, administration, staff, alumni, student government and a community representative.  The committee of 14 was assisted by Dr. Jamie Ferrare of AGB Search.  After a highly process- driven search, the Committee was in full consensus to recommend Dr. Arant to the Board of Trustees.  He will assume office July 1, 2011.
